2024 Underway
Hello to our Collegians family,
We’ve officially kicked off our 2024 Season with our Under 19s side taking a win last Saturday!
This week, our remaining teams will finally take to the field in what is set to be a HUGE Round 1!
Let’s see what’s been happening at the Trott.
COLLEGIANS CUBS
A big congratulations to three of our Past Players who have recently had additions to their families.
Trent & Katie Zimbachs welcome baby son Oscar Zimbachs on 31 December 2023.
Michael Dyer & Brody Driscoll welcomed baby son Beau James Dyer on 28 February 2024.
Will & Bella Johnson welcomed baby girl India Fox Johnson on the 6 March 2024.
We are over the moon for you all - a big congratulations again from the whole club and community.
Please let us know if you want to order a baby jumper with your old number!
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and their new babies down at the club soon.
UNDER 19s WIN IN ROUND 1!
Our under 19s got their season underway in fine style on Saturday with a big win over Melbourne High School.
They took the chocolates by 114 points to be exact! 19.9 to 2.7.
We proudly had 10 different goal scorers in the away win. Oliver Andrews and Lucas Heriot both kicked two goals each.
Well done Rick for pulling together a great squad for their first game. The whole club is really looking forward to the year ahead.
THIS WEEK: A bye round for our Under 19s, before their next match at home (Round 2 Senior Flag Unfurling).
ROUND 1 SENIORS: THIS SATURDAY!
The Senior and Reserves (Mens and Womens) both launch their 2024 campaigns this week!
The Women host MUWFC at the Harry Trott on Saturday at 2pm.
The Men will be away against OMFC at Elsternwick Park (11.40am and 2pm).
No official function this week, however the canteen and bar will be open at the women's game on Saturday and all games through-out 2024!
We will see you at home or far away!
ROUND 2 - FLAG UNFURLING, GALA DAY
LOCK IT IN, SATURDAY 20 APRIL @ HARRY TROTT!
It’s time to finally unfurl our 2023 Senior Mens Premier Flag, while we also celebrate FIVE games at home as part of our GALA DAY Event.
We’ll be celebrating our first home game for our Men in 2024 against foes St Kevins, in what is set to be one of the biggest matches of the year!
Our Premiership coach, Jared Rivers will be there with his 2023 premiership team to unfurl the flag before the Grand Final replay against St Kevins at 2pm.
HOW WILL THE DAY LOOK?
The Under 19s will play first up at 9:20am.
Our Reserves Mens side take to the Trott at 11.40am.
Over the road, our Womens teams will be doing battle with St Kevins at 12pm and 2pm.
GALA DAY DETAILS:
At 12pm, our Gala Day Event kicks off in the social rooms.

ROUND 3 - ANZAC DAY
On Saturday April 27, Collegians is honoured to host ANZAC Day as part of our Round 3 matches.
The tradition with Old Scotch continues as we host the ANZAC Day clash at the Trott, with our Senior Mens and Reserves teams the showcase,
This will be our first home game lunch. If last year's lunches are to go by, reserve your spot early with the link below.

ROUND 5 - PAST PLAYERS DAY
On Saturday May 11, as part of our Round 5 matches, we’ll be hosting our 2024 Past Players Day Event.
Have you played 1 game, or 100 for Collegians? It doesn’t matter, we want to see ALL of you down at the Harry Trott as we reconnect our Lions family!

David Kerr has kindly offered to coordinate the BBQs. If you would still like to help, reach out and we will pass on his details.
We are also on the lookout for anyone keen to help with our afternoon teas, raffles (post games) and bar.
If you can spare 30 minutes at some home games throughout the year, please let us know.
