A Champion Returns: Sam Parsons is Back in Purple and Gold

The Collegians family is thrilled to announce the signing of Sam Parsons, our 2019 Best and Fairest winner, who returns to the club after a successful stint in South Australia.

After leaving Wesley in 2015, Sam has built an impressive football resume playing at the highest levels across multiple competitions. His journey took him through an additional year with the Oakleigh Chargers before several seasons at VFL level with the Box Hill Hawks, where he caught our attention and made his way to Collegians.

Though his first chapter with us was productive, it was far too brief. In 2019, Sam delivered a standout performance to claim our Best and Fairest award in a tightly contested race, cementing his place in club history.

Following that success, he ventured to the SANFL with North Adelaide in 2020, and after two COVID-interrupted years, found his home with Glenunga Rams in the SAAFL Division 1—the South Australian equivalent of our Premier Section. At Glenunga, Sam has been a force, playing in multiple grand finals and earning selection in the competition's team of the year on several occasions.

A versatile player who can impact the game in multiple positions, Sam brings experience, skill, and a winning mentality back to where it all began. We can't wait to see him pull on the purple and gold once again.
