Lions Roar to the Next Level: Lukic and Sofrinidis Sign with Box Hill

Collegians Football Club would like to congratulate Alex Lukic and Sam Sofrinidis on signing contracts with Box Hill in the VFL.

Alex kicked 44 goals from 18 games this season, earning selection in the VAFA Premier Team of the Year. He is one of the hardest-working players at the club and truly deserves his opportunity at the next level. Alex has nominated the Lions as his home club for 2026.

Sam last played for Collegians in 2023 as part of our premiership side. Following a strong season, he secured a train-on spot with Collingwood as an SSP train on and VFL player. Despite impressing, injury shortened his year, and he took 2024 off. Sam now reunites with former Collegians champion Dave Mirra at Box Hill and has nominated Collegians as his home club of choice.
