Collegians FC Women Finish a Strong First Season Back

What a season it has been for the Collegians Women’s team, returning to the VAFA and making an immediate impact.

The team finished the home-and-away season inside the top four and earned a finals spot, a fantastic result for a group in its first season back. More importantly, the season has laid a strong foundation for the future of women’s football at Collegians.

A special mention goes to Laura Murphy, who previously played at Collegians and took on the coaching role throughout the year. Laura’s connection to the club, experience and commitment has been invaluable in helping create such a positive environment.

It is exciting to see that connection between school and club is continuing to grow with a number of Wesley girls playing for Collegians this year, providing such a strong foundation for the future.

A big thanks to Laura, the players, coaches, volunteers and everyone who has supported the team throughout the year.

There is plenty to look forward to as our Collegians Women’s team continues to build into next year.
