A night to celebrate: Collegians’ 2026 Presentation night

12 October, 2026

More than 110 players, parents, partners and volunteers gathered at the gorgeous Quarterhouse on Friday 9 to celebrate a memorable 2026 season for Collegians Football Club.

Located opposite Southern Cross Station and owned by our loyal sponsor, The Pass, Quarterhouse provided a wonderful setting for the Club to come together and recognise the achievements and contributions of our Lions.

The evening was brilliantly MC’d by past player Pete Lazer, who guided proceedings as we celebrated the people who made this season so special.

With all five teams playing finals, three reaching Grand Finals and two premierships returning to the Trott, there was plenty to reflect on. Our Senior Men completed an undefeated Premier B season to secure their return to Premier A, while our Senior Women’s finals appearance added to a strong year across both senior programs. Our Under 19s claimed a magnificent premiership, and our Reserves fell just one point short of making it three flags.

A highlight of the evening was officially receiving and displaying the Senior Men’s and Under 19s’ premiership banners—a proud moment for everyone who contributed to those successes.

Recognising our Lions

The presentation of awards celebrated excellence across all five teams, recognising outstanding performances alongside courage, consistency, improvement and commitment.

Hugh Johnson received the G.W. Hibbins Award as Senior Men’s Best and Fairest, with Kenny Ong and Jim Bazzani sharing second place. Mikayla Collins claimed the Senior Women’s S Rodgers Wilson Award, with April Pierlot finishing runner-up.

Across our other teams, Wilson Macdonald won the Reserves’ H.J. Stewart Award, Alexander Elg capped off a premiership season with the Under 19s’ Rice Award, and Zac Hines received the Thirds’ George Teale Award, also taking home Most Improved Player.
