Make A Tax Deductable Donation To Collegians before the EOFY
Below are the details regarding how you can make a tax deductible donation to Collegians FC before the end of FY2026.
It has been thirty years since Collegians FC moved into the new Holdsworth pavilion at the Harry Trott oval, and ten years since a minor update was made to the change rooms, in readiness for Women’s football.
The Committee has identified the following immediate updates required:
Change room area (downstairs) – needs to be done now.
New flooring for the change rooms (commercial carpet or similar)
Minor improvement of change room toilets/shower areas
Screening for changeroom doors
Minor improvement of canteen and storeroom facilities.
Estimated cost - $25,000
Function room (upstairs) – now or in preparation for the 2027 season.
Remove approximately one metre of the roof on the western side of the pavilion, to improve spectator viewing.
Improve access to balconies for spectator viewing.
Develop alternative coach viewing positions.
Minor improvement of upstairs toilets.
Estimated cost - $55,000
Pavilion - now or in preparation for the 2027 season.
Paint the outside of the pavilion.
Estimated cost - $20,000
Total - $100,000
Maintenance and improvements of the pavilion are required as part of the lease agreement with Parks Victoria. The cost would need to be borne by the three tenants (Collegians FC, Wesley College and Cricket Victoria) in agreed proportions.
Through the club's fundraising partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), donations to the Collegians Operational Fund and to the Collegians FC Future Fund are tax-deductible.
A donation to “Updating A Tired Pavilion” can be done through the Collegians Operational Fund.
Or you may like to consider making a donation to the Collegians Future Fund, which was launched in 2019, to underpin the long-term financial stability of our great football club with donations and bequests feeding into a dedicated fund overseen jointly with by the Old Wesley Collegians Association.
Currently $335,171 has been raised
Income accrued from the earnings of the Collegians Football Club Future Fund will accumulate in the fund until the sum of $500,000 has been achieved. After the sum of $500,000 has been raised, income derived from the fund may be used for the current expenditure of the club.
It is important for the club to reach the sum of $500,000 as quickly as possible.
To receive a tax-deductible donation for the 2026 Tax Year for either fund, your donation will need to be made by end of business on Friday 26 June.
