The Rundown: 2026 Men’s Training Camp

The boys made the trip to Casey on Saturday for the annual men’s footy camp, with more than 40 players in attendance — another strong sign of this group’s commitment to 2026.

We were fortunate to utilise the elite facilities at Melbourne Football Club, starting with team bonding and planning sessions in the Casey function room. After a quick lunch, the squad moved into the indoor kicking facility for walkthroughs and activation before hitting the track — and it was a hot one.

The group completed a strong hit-out, using the full oval for match scenario and ball movement work. Recovery followed, with ice baths and spas rounding out a quality session. The day concluded with all Lions gathering at the iconic Hotel Esplanade for some well-earned refreshments.

We sincerely thank Melbourne Football Club for their outstanding hospitality. The group gained plenty from the camp as they build towards the internal practice match at Harry Trott on Friday, 20 March.
