Will Pewtress Joins The VFL!

Collegians Football Club would like to congratulate young star Will Pewtress (OW2022) on receiving a contract with Box Hill in the VFL.

Will joined Collegians after being part of a strong College side in 2022. While playing another year in the Talent League for the Oakleigh Chargers, he managed 18 games of senior football and was part of our 2023 A Grade premiership side. In 2024, Will played another 19 senior games, along with representing the Big V at Under 19 level. Then in 2025, he played a further 17 games at senior level.

After being invited to train on with Box Hill in 2026, Will had to work hard to earn his position, but received the well-deserved news last Tuesday that he had secured a contract.

The Pewtress family are an integral part of Collegians, with Will’s older brother Tom being a major support through KOR and serving as President of the OWCA, as well as his father Steve, who contributes wherever needed, and mother Louise, who assists at dinners and home luncheons throughout the year.

Will joins Sam Sofronidis and Alex Lukic at Box Hill, coached by past premiership player Dave Mirra. We would also like to congratulate Max Pinchbeck who will train with Box Hill.
