U19s Set for 2026 Under Hartnett
16 February, 2026
Collegians Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Hartnett as U19s Head Coach for the 2026 season.
Rich, most recently seen behind the goals supporting our Senior Men each week, will now don the club polo and lead our U19s program. The appointment marks a full-circle moment, having been part of the U19s program himself in ’94 as a recent leaver of the College. Now stepping into the role of coach, he is excited to lead the next generation.
His passion for the program is clear.
“The list is in good shape, with many eligible players from last year returning, along with a solid number of OW25 school leavers joining us. Having been a past player, supporter and Coterie member, along with a stint on the OWCA Executive Committee, I am acutely aware of the importance of a strong 19s program in not only maintaining connection to the College but also feeding new talent into the club.
I’ve spent time in many roles through junior football and believe now is the right time to become more heavily involved at Collegians. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and making a contribution to the team and club overall.”
Rich brings a deep understanding of the Collegians pathway and culture. His experience across junior football, combined with his long-standing involvement with the club and College community, positions the U19s strongly for 2026.
We look forward to seeing Rich lead the program and continue building a strong bridge between the College and our senior ranks.
