Coaches comments:
We were impressed with our intent through the whole day, as we continue to build towards round 1. It was a hot footy, and as the day went on we handled the pressure reasonably well, as well as applying good tackle pressure ourselves. It was great to get some reward for effort on the scoreboard in the second half. We look forward to taking on Old Scotch after Easter.
Lion women
Best players:
Rhianna Klisura, Trinity Meachem, Katy Perre’e, Sheldon Riley, Annabel Schmidt, Hannah Singleton.
Coaches comments:
Saturday morning saw the women’s team head down the highway to play Barwon Heads in Belmont. The team had their work cut out against the experienced reigning premiers.
We were slow to start in the first quarter, and Barwon took full advantage. Pleasingly, the team regained momentum and fought back multiple times against a strong outfit.
The group showed great character, applied pressure across the ground, and worked hard to stabilise possession. It was great to see them compete strongly all day and make it uncomfortable for the opposition. There is plenty to build on—it should be a good season.

Coaches comments:
An excellent hit out for the Reserves. The team had the game under control for much of the day, except for a 10 minute period at the end of the third quarter. The last quarter was tight as we fought to protect our lead. There was some very encouraging passages of play, a realisation of what needs to be worked on and hint of excitement about the season.
U19’s
Seaford FNC 5-9-39 def by Collegians FC 9-8-62
Best players:
Will Johnson, Alex Elg, Will Scott, Nico Levy, James Turner, Finneas Arnold.
Goal kickers:
Nico Levy 3, Josh Levy 1, Alex Elg 1, Ben Abrahams 1, James Turner 1, Finneas Arnold 1, AJ Walker 1.
Coaches comments:
The 19s ventured down the freeway where they were greeted by the Seaford team. In difficult, overcast and wet conditions, our midfield got on top early and we were able to open up a several goal lead into qtr time. The second quarter tightened up and Seaford began to fight back. With instructions to not over possess the ball in wet conditions, the team were able to get on top in the second half and come away with a positive result.
