Alex Lukic Kicks Eight Goals In A Game

Alex Lukic has started the season on fire—but there’s more to the story than just a bag of goals.
Two Saturdays ago, Alex was selected in the VFL Young Guns side, a well-earned reward following his inclusion in the VAFA A Grade Team of the Year in 2025. Playing deep forward, he kicked a goal and made a strong impact, consistently crashing packs. But that wasn’t the end of his weekend.
Not initially named as an emergency for Box Hill, the ‘Big Looch’ was at home resting when he received a late call-up from Dave Mirra, after a player withdrew due to illness. Alex stepped straight in and played his second game in 48 hours—again presenting strongly, crashing packs all game, and finishing with two scoring shots.
Then, less than six days later, he pulled on the purple and gold jumper again and delivered his best performance for Collegians. He finished with 19 disposals, 11 marks, 8 goals, and 133 ranking points.
An incredible game under normal circumstances—an unbelievable performance when it’s your third game in a week.
